Pharmacogenomic Testing

At ThriveWell Integrative Psychiatry, we recognize that every person is biologically unique. Pharmacogenomic testing helps us personalize psychiatric care by examining how a person's unique genetics may influence their response to certain medications. This advanced testing can offer insights into:

What This Shows

While pharmacogenomic testing does not replace clinical judgment, it serves as a valuable tool in minimizing trial-and-error and supporting more personalized, effective treatment—especially in complex or sensitive cases. In some cases, when people have tried multiple medications without improvement, or with unintended side effects, a healthcare provider may order pharmacogenomic testing to get more information. The test results will be used in combination with information from past treatment to make decisions about future treatment.

Note that this option is not right for everyone, and we do not base treatment decisions solely on this testing. We offer this service as part of our commitment to integrative, individualized care for patients.
